Car seized by Gardai in Kilkenny after the driver was stopped

Gardai in Kilkenny have seized a Ford Fiesta after a motorist was stopped in Callan last night.

The Roads Policing Unit were out in the town following complaints of poor driving when they came across the vehicle.

It was discovered that the car had no tax or NCT while the driver had no driving licence or insurance.

Gardai seized the car while the motorist will now face a court summons.

Meanwhile, a motorist who failed to stop for Gardai in Kilkenny has been arrested.

The driver was found to be disqualified and five times over the drink driving limit.

The driver also didn’t have insurance so awaits a court appearance.
