Sinn Féin has named a host of contenders for the Local Elections.
Already confirmed were Jim Deane of Tinryland, Ken Gahan of Tullow and Phil Thompson of Ballyconnell as candidates to contest for the Tullow Local Electoral Area.
Now, the party’s chosen most of its Kilkenny hopefuls.
Sitting Cllr Denis Hynes will seek to be returned to the Castlecomer LEA where the party still hopes to field a second candidate, while Evan Barry, who works on SF’s national policy advancement in Leinster House, joins Mark O’Farrell in the bid for city seats.
Natasha Newsome Drennan and Michael Wemyss are running the Piltown municipal district.
And former Councillor David Kennedy and newcomer Stephaine Doheny in the Callan / Thomastown area.
