A former Member of European Parliament who hails from Co Waterford is today joining the ‘For the Children of Gaza’ Flotilla.
Tramore based Grace O’Sullivan will participate in the Freedom Flotilla Coalition’s mission in the Mediterranean which has been underway since the 1st of May sailing and campaigning between ports, calling for immediate action to end the violence in Gaza.

She will be in port in Martiques, near Marseille in France, today and tomorrow before sailing to Ajaccio, Corsica for a Thursday arrival.
She says; “The focus of this mission is on the children of Gaza – the most innocent and vulnerable in this conflict. They are now facing survival against famine, more bombs, unending violence, and lack of adequate healthcare when it is needed most. For those that have survived, their trauma will stay with them for the rest of their lives, and we cannot stay quiet as their turmoil continues without consequence”.
