Pride of the Parish: Glenmore
This is a programme series that sees Monica Hayes visiting parishes across Carlow and Kilkenny to get a sense of the place and to explore what’s important to the community living there.
This evening’s show features Glenmore. Monica Hayes meets with various community organisations, such as the Women’s Shed, and discusses the plans for the Community Café and shop that will link the South East Greenway with the village. She also meets PJ Griffin, the father of Glenmore Olympian Mia Griffin. Blow-ins are a feature of all programmes in the Pride of the Parish series, and Beá Salmon-Hawk from the Glenmore drama group gives an interesting take on that term.
Pride of the Parish is funded by Coimisiún na Meán with the television license fee
