Fianna Fáil has officially selected two candidates for Kilkenny for the upcoming General Election.
As expected, sitting TD John McGuinness will be joined on the ticket by county councillor and Leas Cathaoirleach of the local authority Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere.
Both were declared last night.
Jennifer Murnane O’Connor had been picked as the party’s Carlow based candidate last July.
Deputy John McGuinness was first elected in 1997 and feels he has more to offers as he’s been telling KCLR News;
Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere was elected a councillor ten years ago and is looking forward to the campaign for a seat at the national table;
