Carlow camogie manager Mikey Mangan is calling on his players to trust in their talent as they gear up for a busy 2025 season.
The team is preparing for their Division 2 league campaign, which gets underway next month. Following the league, Carlow will shift their focus to the Leinster Championships and the All-Ireland Intermediate Championship.
Reflecting on lessons from last year, Mangan told KCLR Sport that his team has the ability to compete at this level and needs to channel that belief into their performances.
“Talent-wise, we don’t see why we shouldn’t be competing at intermediate level with the talent we have in the panel. It’s just about getting them that belief,” Mangan said.
Recalling a key moment from last year’s campaign, he added: “We were in the game against Kerry with 10 minutes to go. We had half a goal chance that went slightly over the bar, and they went down and got a goal. That kind of kills the game.
“I really think that we learned enough in those losses. We reflect on them and bring those lessons into 2025.”
