Local interest peaks as new JFK files surface, with the Kennedy homestead at the heart of the intrigue

New Ross Councillor Michael Sheehan has reacted to the recent discovery of 2,400 new FBI documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Speaking with KCLR News, Sheehan said, “New files will shed light on who knew what and when,” expressing hope that the files would provide new insights.

Although the FBI has not yet released the contents of the documents, Sheehan emphasised the local interest due to the Kennedy Homestead’s proximity, noting that the findings will captivate the community.
