Presentation Secondary School, Kilkenny, are the 2025 FAI Schools Senior Girls National Cup champions after a commanding 2-0 victory over Coláiste na Coiribe, Gaillimh.
First-half goals from captain Sophie Meagher and Katie Grace secured the title, marking Presentation’s second-ever triumph in the competition—their last win coming five years ago.
A rock-solid defensive performance kept the Galway side at bay, ensuring a memorable day for the Kilkenny school.
After the game, Olivia Dunphy spoke to the KCLR Kilkenny Soccer Podcast about what it meant to win in front of such strong school support.
“It’s a different feeling when you get to play for Pres, because as a girl playing sport, you don’t usually get that kind of backing behind you. But when you have a school behind you, there’s so many people that really care about the match. You get a big crowd at the matches, and it’s definitely a different feeling. It’s nice for a change.”
