Carlow is another step closer to having its own injury clinic, with the clinic set to open by early 2026, 14 years after it was first proposed.
Cllr. Fergal Browne, Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council, and also a member of the HSE regional health forum, provided this update to KCLR News regarding the plans.
“The good news is it will be opened hopefully in early 2026, and they’re hoping to have contractors on the site at St. Dympna’s Hospital in Carlow in 2025, this year.”
“So it’ll be good news for people in Carlow, for anyone with any minor injuries, and these have worked very well in other counties, and it has been suggested back in 2012, so it’s been going on for far too long, but finally we are making progress in this regard.”
