Revenue seize over 700 thousand euro worth of contraband over the past week

Over 724 thousand euro worth of contraband has been seized by Revenue over the past week.

21kg of herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of over 423 thousand euro, and magic mushrooms, valued over 10 thousand euro, are among the items seized.

Various other illicit drugs,145 counterfeit items with an estimated value of over 200 thousand euro, and weapons were also among the detections.

The seizures took place across various operations in Dublin, the Midlands, Shannon Airport, and Rosslare Europort.

The parcels originated from Canada, UK and USA, and were destined for various addresses nationwide.
