Woman seriously injured in Carlow town following an incident involving a Pitbull terrier

A woman has been seriously injured following an incident involving a Pitbull terrier at her home in Carlow town.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene shortly after 2pm and it is understood the woman has been taken to St Luke’s General hospital.

Gardaí are preserving the scene for a technical examination.
