Hare’s Corner’ initiative now open to Kilkenny applicants

Landowners, schools and community groups in Kilkenny are invited to apply for support to create wildlife areas through the ‘Hare’s Corner’ initiative.

The name pays homage to an old label for a piece of land that could not be farmed and was left to nature.

People can receive support to create a mini-woodland, a wildlife hedge, a heritage orchard, a wildlife pond and a Plan for Nature’ to enhance a natural site.
