Local Aontú spokesperson believes some residents on Kilkenny / Waterford border are being failed due to funding cuts

Ferrybank residents are being failed due to cuts in road maintenance funding and delays to improvement works according to a local Aontú spokesperson.

Works on Abbey Road and Belmont Road remain stalled pending a Section 85 agreement between Kilkenny and Waterford councils.

Gary O’Neill says Kilkenny local authority’s allocation has fallen by over €37,000 while Waterford counterparts have seen their share down by almost €29,000.
