The number of Garda vehicles written off in crashes has risen sharply, with the Waterford-Kilkenny region among the highest affected.
Nationally, the numbers increased by 170% in the last year, according to figures obtained by Social Democrats TD Aidan Farrelly.
The Waterford-Kilkenny area recorded 75 incidents, Cork city had 80, and the west Dublin Metropolitan region had the highest number with more than 100 collisions.
Overall, 41 vehicles were damaged beyond repair last year, compared to 15 in 2024.
Many of the crashes were linked to high-speed pursuits.
