If you know a young person who makes a real difference in the lives of their family, friends and community, you can put them forward for a Garda Youth Award.
Nominations are opened for the Waterford Kilkenny Youth awards which takes place on the 20th of May in the Tower Hotel in Waterford.
Inspector Paul Donohoe has the details.
“So the nominations for these awards are open and they’re open now until the 30th of April, so anyone out there, this is from ages from 13 to 21.” said Paul.
“If anyone knows anyone that has done something, there’s individual awards, quite a number of awards given out on the night, but they’re broken into four categories, you’ll have individual awards, you’ll have group awards, community safety awards, and special achievement awards.” he added.
