Pedestrian dead after being struck by car in county Tipperary

A woman aged in her twenties has been killed after being struck by a car in County Tipperary.

It happened at about 7pm yesterday (Sunday, 8th March) while she walking on the R502 at Ballinlassa, between Templemore and Templetouhy and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination will take place.

The driver did not require immediate hospital treatment.
