Carlow announced as EU hub for UK insurance company with 22 jobs expected to be created

22 jobs are expected to be created as a UK insurance company announces Carlow as its EU hub.

Representatives of InsurEvo are in the locality for today’s reveal that the company, founded in 2017, is expanding into Ireland in a bid to supports its business activities and European growth through its travel insurance brand JustCover.

Their decision to have a base at the Carlow campus of the South East Technological University is being hailed as a strong vote of confidence in the region’s talent base, excellent connectivity and pipeline of skilled graduates emerging from SETU.

The roles locally will span operational support, information technology, human resources and administration with details available here.

Chris Rolland is Group CEOR of the InsurEvo Group and says; “As a leading international business, InsurEvo is serious about backing the expansion of one of our Group businesses – JustCover – in Ireland. Our strategic decision to commit to creating 22 new jobs is good news for both the sector and the South East region at large.”

JustCover Director Peter Clark notes;  “Carlow is an energetic, ambitious town with a rapidly growing skills base, and we are delighted to be investing here. The ongoing transformation of SETU and the wider South East makes this the right place for long-term growth, innovation and job creation. We’re excited to build our team in Carlow and look forward to welcoming our first colleagues this spring.”

While SETU’s Chief Operating Officer David Denieffe comments; “We are very pleased to welcome JustCover to our Carlow campus as the first corporate client in our new Corporate Services Building. Their decision to locate here, alongside a commitment to create 22 jobs, is a strong endorsement of the region’s talent base and the calibre of graduates emerging from South East Technological University.”

And IDA Ireland’s Head of Financial Services Maeve McConnon adds; “InsurEvo’s decision to expand into Carlow and establish its European hub is a positive development for the South East region and reflects the attractiveness of Ireland as a location for Foreign Direct Investment. We look forward to seeing InsurEvo grow its operations and wish the team every success with this expansion.”
