A young county Carlow woman’s among the contenders for the Screwfix Trade Apprentice title.
23-year-old Zoe Hynes from Tullow’s come through more than 3,000 hopefuls across the UK & Ireland to make it to the semi-finals of the competition.
The apprentice electrician and SETU Carlow student is into the interview phase next month after which finalists will be revealed for the prize of €10,000 worth of tools, technology and training.
Kilkenny’s Nicholas Rossiter was among those in the running last year with Longford’s Dan O’Shea eventually winning outright.
