Snow falling in pockets of Carlow and Kilkenny

Snow’s begun to fall in some local parts.

Hacketstown’s seen a light dusting this morning as Met Éireann forecasts a cool and blustery today with sunny spells and passing heavy showers bringing with them chance of hail with the odd wintry fall on higher ground.

Expect it to be cold across both counties with the highest temperatures of seven to nine degrees joined by an added wind chill factor.
