Carlow and Kilkenny appear to have escaped the early morning weather warning but care’s being advised for the weekend at Storm Dave approaches.
A status yellow wind notice takes effect across the entire country from 2pm to 11pm tomorrow (Saturday) with strong winds.
This could see fallen branches and trees, displacement of debris and loose objects leading to difficult driving conditions.
For today (Friday) Met Éireann’s forecasting a mostly cloudy start with just limited bright spells and scattered showers or more persistent spells of rain
spreading from the west.
But brighter conditions will extend from the west through the afternoon with the showers becoming less frequent.
Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees, mildest in the south of the province, with light to moderate westerly winds, fresher for a time near southern coasts
