N24 stretch in south Kilkenny closed following early morning crash

A teenage driver’s in hospital following a crash in South Kilkenny.

The single vehicle incident happened on the N24 at Aglish South, Carrigeen just after midnight.

The motorist who’s aged in his late teens was taken to University Hospital Waterford and subsequently to Cork University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The route’s closed pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing to witnesses to come forward, in particular those who might have footage of any form.
