Second teachers union has voted in favour of strike action in row over pay agreement

Teachers who are members of the ASTI have voted in favour of industrial action.

95% of those who were balloted backed action, up to and including a strike.

The move will see up to 20,000 secondary school teachers withdraw from selected activities from October 5th.

They’ll also take part in a public service wide day of strike action on October 14th.
