Cleanup continues in pockets of Carlow and Kilkenny

The cleanup’s continuing in pockets of Carlow and Kilkenny this morning.

Rain on Saturday night into Sunday morning carried with it a Status Orange warning from Met Éireann for a time, the downpour leading to flooding in parts.

While in Kilkenny city, a number of properties along St Kieran Street are understood to have been hard hit, personnel having to sweep water out of the premises.

No major incidents appear to have been reported in either county but a number of spots may be still attempting to dry out today.
