Renowned Kilkenny community man Murty Brennan has died

A well-known man of community in Kilkenny has died.

Murty Brennan was a proud city native and one who did whatever he could to help fellow locals and those who chose to live here from other countries.

In particular, he’ll be remembered for setting up the Twilight Community Group and Cultural House.

Last year he was presented with two certificates by Cllr Andrew McGuinness, one for the work he’s done locally and another for Twilight which was marking its tenth birthday.

The beloved husband, father and grandfather peacefully died yesterday (Monday, 28th Sept) at St Luke’s Hospital – his Funeral details are here.
