“This Budget will decide the future of hundreds of rural pubs” says Vintners CEO Pat Crotty

The Vintners’ Federation of Ireland says the morale among publicans is at an all-time low, as rising costs put pressure on small businesses.

The group held a demonstration outside Leinster House today calling on the Government to support rural pubs in Budget 2027.

CEO Pat Crotty says the Government needs to act now, with some rural pubs struggling to survive.

He’s calling for a targeted tax credit linked to the sale of draught beer and cider.
