Carlow man Jackson Fernandez says his focus now is on getting back on his feet and returning to normal life after a serious road crash in July.
He was struck by a stolen vehicle while sitting on his motorcycle in Carlow town, suffering multiple fractures and life-threatening injuries.
Jackson spent weeks in hospital and says he lost around six to eight weeks of his life, only regaining full consciousness in September.
He’s now back home, walking with the help of a stick, and says he’s grateful to be alive.
He says his wife and young daughter have been a huge support during his recovery.
