Planning granted for new hostel on Kilkenny’s John Street Upper

Kilkenny City’s to get a new hostel.

Butler and McBride Limited has been granted planning permission to convert parts of existing commercial units on John Street Upper into new accommodation.

The development will span across first-floor and ground-floor levels at Numbers 49 to 52, incorporating parts of the Kilkenny Shopping Mall.

The project also includes retention permission for structural material alterations already carried out on the premises.
