Gardaí in the Kildare / Carlow Serious Crime Hub are investigating an alleged assault following the discovery of a man with serious injuries.

The finding was made on the N7 at 1:50am on Monday, 28th September.

It’s understood the man had stopped a passing motorist with Gardaí and paramedics then alerted to the scene.

The injured individual was taken to Naas General Hospital with injuries which have been described as serious and has since been transferred to Beaumont Hospital.

Anybody who was on the route close to Junction 7 (Kill) Northbound between 1:20am and 1:50am on the morning, in particular those who saw the man and / or have footage of any form, is asked to contact Naas Garda Station: 045 884300.
