Eagle eyed Kilkenny Garda spots car driving that he seized in previous road traffic stop

A driver has had their vehicle seized for a second time in just four months by the same Garda at the same location.

The driver had insured the car under another person’s name, avoiding an alert from automatic number plate recognition.

However, the Garda recognised the vehicle, and it was seized again.

A spokesperson says the driver will now have to explain why they were driving without the appropriate licence and insurance.
