“Congratulations you have destroyed my day” said Deputy Ming Flanagan today after he called my producer to complain about my interview with him this morning. The Independent Deputy did not like me linking legality and democracy and certainly not raising the issue of his previous cultivation and use of cannabis. The Deputy speaks tonight at an anti household charges meeting in Kilkenny. Though he called to complain me to “management” for extreme “bias” he did not in the end choose to do so formally. Local FF councillor John Coonan later challenged Deputy Flanagan to a debate on the cannabis issue.
