Shefflin doubtful for Championship opener due to stress fracture

Henry Shefflin is a major doubt for Kilkenny’s opening game of the championship after suffering a stress fracture in his foot.

The Ballyhale man is believed to have incurred the injury at training this week ahead of the second round of the club league.

It is unclear how long he may be sidelined for but is rated as doubtful for the clash with offaly on June 7th in Nowlan Park
