End of an era as Borough Council meets in Kilkenny for a final time

The curtain fell on a piece of Kilkennys history last night as the Borough Council met for the last time.

Members dressed in their ceremonial robes for the final ever meeting at City Hall.

The council like all other town, city and borough councils will be abolished after the local elections later this month.
