The importance of developing the Mart and Smithwicks sites in Kilkenny city has been re-iterated by the county manager.
It comes after An Taisce claimed that voters had sent a strong message to the local authority about the Central access scheme with the candidates they returned in last weekends local elections.
Chairman Declan Murphy said again that the people of Kilkenny do not want CAS.
But in a statement the county manager Joe Crockett said without it the Diageo and mart sites cannot be fully developed.
And President of Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce Martin Costello is of a similar view saying the city needs the Central Access Scheme
