
A Carlow woman has won a Gold medal at this years Bloom Festival in the Phoenix park.
Deirdre Pender from Russellstown won in the Medium Show Garden category for her design
called Idir Da Shaoil / Between Two Worlds”.
Her design represents the meeting of the spiritual and earthly worlds and uses concrete and water circles with large hazel trees and lush planting to create a space for both quiet relaxation and socialising.
She won silver at the competition in 2012 and runs her own landscape design company called “Talamh Landscaping”.
