Carlow footballers pick up first win in Div 4

Carlow got their first win of their National Football League campaign with a victory over London in Netwatch Cullen Park yesterday.

Two goals from Hughie Gahan and Dara O’Brien kept Carlow in the game and they finished strong coming away with a 2-9 to 13 points win and picking up two points in Division 4 with it.

Carlow’s next game is against Waterford on the weekend of 27th 28th of February in Dungarvan.

Meanwhile the minor hurlers had a challenge game with Wexford and won by two points, 2-12 to 1-13.

Carlow senior hurlers begin their Allianz national hurling league campaign with a home game against Wicklow next Sunday.
