SIPTU members working at St Leos College in Carlow are to go on strike.
They’ve voted in favour of industrial action over what the union says is the managements refusal to provide support staff with an adequate workplace pension.
The four staff will stage a work to rule including work stoppages, and pickets on the school.
SIPTU organiser Bill Mulcahy says the decision was made after negotiations with the school and at the LRC failed to reach an agreement, however he says they’re still open to discussions.
