Local family to protest today for lower speed limits

A local family who lost their son in a road traffic accident are calling on the Government to lower the speed limit in housing estates.

6-year-old Jake Brennan died after he was hit by a car outside his home in Lintown Estate, Kilkenny.

In the wake of his death his family set up ‘Jake’s Legacy’ calling for a lower limit of 20km to be introduced in all housing estates.

The Brennan Family and Sinn Féin’s Mary-Lou McDonald will gather outside Leinster House this afternoon for a protest.
