A Kilkenny mother has spent a 3rd night outside the Dail as her campaign for reduced speed limits in residential areas continues.
Roseann Brennan and supporters of Jakes Legacy have been holding a vigil at Leinster House since Sunday.
Last night the Transport Minister announced he would support a bill brought by Sinn Fein in Jakes name calling for 20 km per hour speed limits to be mandatory.
However Minister Donohoe suggested a pilot scheme to review the practicalities of reducing speed limits in some areas – and says it will be at the discretion of local authorities.
Roseann told KCLR news this morning that doesn’t go far enough and she is calling on the Minister to meet her at the gates of the Dail this afternoon for further discussions.
