Kilkenny Credit Union to offer debit card services

The Chief executive of St Canice’s Kilkenny credit union says it will be a few months yet before they can offer members debit card services.

It is one of 11 almost ready to offer full current account services to customers.

Claire Lawton says its been in the pipeline now for more than 2 years and its currently being tested with a view to rolling it out in the different credit unions before the year is out.

But she says it will be an exciting project for them when it does get off the ground.
