A Kilkenny man whose sister and nieces were murdered almost 7 years ago is to meet with the Minister for Justice this afternoon.
John Whelan’s sister Sharon and her daughters Nadia and Zarah were murdered in Windgap in 2008.
John is chairman of Advic, a charity providing support to the families of homicide victims and he is calling on the government to reform sentencing in relation to homicide.
Speaking to KCLR, Mr Whelan says they’ll also be discussing their concerns surrounding the issue of bail.
