Further information has been requested by Laois county council before a decision will be made on the proposed re-location of the Carlow Rehab Care centre.
It was due to be decided today if a change of use would be granted for unit 5 at the Shamrock business park where Rehab are proposing to move the service.
Service users and their families dont want to move from the Killeshin road facility where they are now but RehabCare say it needs work due to a leaking roof.
More than 5,000 locals have signed a petition to try and stop the move.
The decision lies with Laois county Council on whether permission will be granted for the necessary changes to the building at Graiguecullen.
