Planned changes to the Bus Eireann Expressway route that travels from Cork to Dublin via Castlecomer are being put on hold.
The company in a statement to KCLR says the route will remain in place in its current form until mid June.
The proposed changes, which would see a new service originating in Clonmel and only stopping at Grangemockler, Callan and Kilkenny are being deferred until a report is completed by a new working group within the National Transport Authority formed to look at possible solutions for the areas affected by the plans.
Meanwhile theres a meeting planned for Athy on Thursday night to discuss the service changes.
Up to 200 turned out at the latest meeting in Castlecomer on Monday night which was addressed by the NTA and Bus Eireann chiefs aswell as the Rural Affairs Minister Ann Phelan.
