The death has occurred of Rev Fr. Moling Lennon former Parish Priest of Naas. Fr Lennon a native of Cournellan Ballymurphy was a lifelong member of the GAA and served as Cathaoirleach Coiste Condae Ceatharlach from 1982 to 1984 and also served as Uachtarain Ceatharlach
Fr. Moling attended Inch National School, and spent six years as a student in Knockbeg College.
He studied for the priesthood and was ordained on June 17th 1957. He joined the teaching staff of Knockbeg College where he taught Latin and Religion for twenty-eight years
Ironic Fr. Moling will be laid to rest on Wednesday June 17th fifty eight years to the day he was ordained a priest and it is also the feast day of St. Moling.
The Long Puck competition which was due to be held on Mount Leinster this evening has been called off due to the death of Fr. Moling Lennon.
It is expected to be held now on Thursday evening instead.
