Alex is 5 years old. He suffers from severe cerebral palsy, epilepsy, sleep apnoea, vision impairment and is tube- fed. Their 2008 car has clocked up over 300,000 miles and is on its last legs. Alex has 2 to 3 hospital appointments per week and attends a special school in Clonmel. A roadworthy wheelchair accessible car is an absolute necessity. Unfortunately the Department of Health doesn’t provide any financial support towards purchasing a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
