12 million granted to fix up our local roads
Over 12 million euro has been set aside for improving the roads in Carlow and Kilkenny this year.
7.5 million euro of the funding is being set aside for road improvements , 1.35 million is going to maintenance work in Kilkenny and 3.6 million will be spent on improvements and maintenance on local and regional roads in Carlow.
Some of the projects to benefit from the money are the Inistioge Bridge, Riesk Bridge in Callan and Newtown Bridge in Carlow.
9 roads are getting safety improvments including the Castlecomer Road in Kilkenny, Rockfield in Gowran and Tullaroan Village.
In Carlow Improvements are being done on the Browneshill Cross roads, the Ballymurphy to Sculloge Gap and the Ballinaree Cross.
