Team of Gardaí visit Kilkenny housing estates with crime prevention advice

Gardaí went door-to- door in housing estates just off the ring road yesterday evening as part of their crime prevention efforts under Operation Storm.

A team of Gardaí visited nearly 400 houses in the Ashfield, Ashfield East and New Orchard estates with home security advice for residents.

John Purcell of the local text alert service told KCLR news it was a worthwhile exercise. He says it was good for people to see the Garda presence in the community while they delivered the relevant literature.
