2 local children who wrote to the Pope have their work published

A book called 'Fáilte Pope Francis' will raise funds for medical research at Crumlin

A special book to mark the visit of Pope Francis this Summer will feature 2 local primary school children.

8 year old Brandon Carroll from St Leonard’s in Dunnamaggin & 6 year old Gráinne Nic Uistín from Gaelscoil Eoghain Uí Thuairisc in Carlow won a competition for children to put pen to paper.

Their work was selected for inclusion in the Fáilte Pope Francis book which aims to raise money for Children’s Medical & Research Foundation Crumlin and marks the World Meeting of Families in Dublin which the Pope will attend in August.

Brandon told KCLR news about the letter he wrote to Pope Francis calling for people to pray for peace in the world.
