Problems identified in a waste-water treatment plant in Kilkenny city have since been resolved.
The local plant and one in Callan are on a list of 38 in the country that failed inspections in 2013.
However the EPA says the issue with the Kilkenny city plant related to the quality standard for phosphorus.
And Brendan Kissane, an inspector with the agency told KCLR news it was sorted later that year.
