Dog-owners in Carlow and Kilkenny are being reminded that it will soon be illegal not to have your animal micro-chipped.
Today marks the start of National Microchipping Month and as part of the awareness campaign a number of vets across the country are providing free microchipping in conjunction with Dogs Trust.
Locally, ‘Pets First’ in Tullow, Spa View Veterinary in Johnstown and Callan Veterinary Hospital are all participating.
