3 people escape unharmed after fire breaks out in roof of Borris home

3 occupants of a house in Borris escaped unharmed when a fire broke out in the roof of their home early this morning.

3 units of Bagenalstown fire service and the fire officer on duty in Carlow attended the blaze after they were alerted around 5am this morning.

It was quickly brought under control but significant damage was done to the semi detached house in Woodview

There is also some smoke damage to the adjoining home.
